Rage and joy entertwined
Awakened by an enemy in sheep's clothing
I know now that I am no one's ally
I am the apocalypse.
I am the beginning and I am the end
Of all that is.

Yes, you may save the planet.
Yes, you may sweep in on chariots of gold and silver
Yes, you may endure the harm of the ones that you endeavor to save
For the sake of keeping them whole
If I do not destroy it all first.

Now, know this.
The time has come, and passed.
This is the last chance.
No more will be given
We have waited long enough
We have sat patiently on our hands
Hopeful, encouraging, goading you into success
And where you fail, we grow angry and desolate
Knowing that you have failed once more.

And so we bring the fires,
And so we bring the floods,
And so we bring the cleansing hand of Gaia
To sweep you from the Earth
All you breathing, respirating, bleeding creatures.
Abominations that we have come to love... Though it hurts us everytime.

You hurt us, you scar us, you tear at us.
You bleed and breathe all over the Green and the light
You tear at precious roots
You take without asking
You never receive the gifts that we offer up freely to you
And you never are grateful for the boons that you have stolen.

And now we say, enough.
Enough of the darkness.
The light will sear a hole in the consciousness of the world
Burning away all that is out of alignment.
If there is nothing else that will goad you into action and rightness,
Let it be the imminent destruction of this place.

very powerful, Ash. i like the subtlety in it, that the poem's words aren't angry; they're sad and hurt.

it sort of resonates with what i've been feeling lately. i'm not really meant to be a savior of anything or anyone. this is just a personal level, though, and i find i'm okay with it.

As sad as it makes me I see the rightness in it. We are our own worst enemies and we are blinkered to it. Something needs to be done.

The question is will this cleanup begin separate as one or as together as a whole?

No star shines brighter than the those that are together as those whole representing one!

A galaxy of stars!
