PostSubject: My Discovery    Sat Sep 29, 2012 12:17 am

With the help of my Past life's mate's older sister. I have found my bloodline in a way. Okay from what we discovered, my true name in Elvin i believe means little Prince, told to me by an angelic friend. Also that I'm from a tribe that taught the Druids what they have come to know and are said to be powerful shapeshifters/therian magic users. I found out the reason my name translates as Little Prince is because that is indeed what i am, a little Prince, we have yet to find the name of the tribe along with I may be 17, but to the Elvin i am barely a teenager. I'm quite excited to come to discover this it just brings me great happiness to know this ^_^.

(sorry if some have a problem reading this)

Congrats on the discovery.

I know a lot about the Druids (I've studied them all the way through my history course) but that doesn't ring a bell. What tribe are you talking about, and Druids from what country? I know you said you don't know the name of the tribe but you said you know they were powerful magic users/therians, how did you come to that conclusion? Also, if they taught the Druids everything they know then are they that difficult to find? I did a quick search to double check my memory but can't find anything.

I'm not quite sure on everything, but to them it seems im considered barely a teenager though I am 17 in human age. I'm still looking, she helped me find out and says they are a old tribe, she also said "the tribe seems elderkin of the druids" does that help? also says "the tribe gave the Druids the knowledge they are famous for" I hope that helps so far Im still searchng.

Well... there are a lot of old tribes. That's a lot of vague information. I would try and discover more yourself rather than relying on the information of other people. Also, with regards to the Druids, no one really taught them. They were natives, that's why the Romans slaughtered so many of them. The term Druid actually means "priest in a class"; so you'd get your hunters, warriors, healers and your Druids. Contrary to common belief they weren't a tribe of their own. They were in charge of organising and carrying out religious practices and sacrifices specific to their tribe. That's a lot of tribes to teach and no written account has been made of any Druid type figure being taught. There's no archaeological evidence either.

If you want to learn more about the Druids yourself then here are some good links:

Uhm, you said throughout both posts:
she helped me.
she said.
told to me by an angelic friend.
we.

A little confusing, no? Razz

There are hundreds of other sources but those are the ones that I find are the most reliable.

Without sounding rude, how can I tell you the names of tribes if you can't even tell me what country you're looking at? If I listed every single tribe where the Druid term was used then I'd be here all night.

Then perhaps you should've specified elven race before asking? It's like your asking me one thing and saying one thing but then changing it when I ask about it.

I'm not even sure I understand you anymore so I'm just going to wish you luck in your search for whatever it is your searching for Smile

That's the thing. You say "elder tribes" which could mean basically anything. Dictionary definition of elder: of one or more out of a group of related or otherwise associated people; Of a greater age: "my elder daughter".

But then you also throw around the term of "elven tribe" so which is it? You need to specify or you're going to get a lot of confused people and a lot of potentially incorrect information.

As far as the general understanding within Druidry is concerned, the basic teachings and practice of Druidry was developed from an understanding of the natural world around them, with guidance from the Gods and some from the Sidhe, probably from all four of the main Sidhe cities. But the names of the tribes haven't been passed down within common Druid teachings. And I think it's also fair to say that much of the concepts and understanding that existed and still exists within Druidry came from their own long and hard study coupled with magical and spiritual work.

If I am understanding this correctly, Shadowfox, you are a member of a tribe of elves. These elves have the ability to shapeshift. This tribe of elves do not currently exist on the physical plane. These elves gave some knowledge to the Druids. The elven tribe was referred to as the "elder tribe". Is this correct?

Also, congratulations on your discovery!

sounds quite unbelievable right, but i do believe they were once part of this plain, but I was told otherwise That they never did belong of this plain.

Hmm.. Perhaps they came from somewhere else, lived on this plane for a little while and then left?

I was told they were Celtic elves, that my true parents(elven ones) might still be alive, but if they are I wish I knew how to commune with them from where i am, also the R.A Salvatore book on Drazzt is supposedly a real elven. I was told the character was based of a real elven. I can seem to find anything on my people Sad it's really disheartening. they might have been Dioane Sidhe. I need more ways to look for them.
