Hello, everyone!

Hi everybody! I'm Taliel (well, I guess that's sort of obvious because it says it right next to this post, but I'm new to forums, so saying that just felt like the polite thing to do). I'm really happy that I've finally gotten the courage to step out of my comfort zone and join a forum! For about a year now I've been too shy to do anything but browse Otherkin websites on my own, but when I found this site I just knew things needed to change. So many of the things shared here have sounded at the very least vaguely familiar, but when I read a post written by Melari I was so shocked at how much it matched me and my memories that I sat at my computer shaking for a while.

For a while now (about a month or two, really) I've been trying to remember my old name from what I suspected to be an elven past life. All I ever remembered was "Tal", and I just knew that it wasn't my entire name. In her post Melari talked about remembering a person named Taliel, and a verdict was passed and it was said that Taliel was going to fall at the end of the day. She also mentioned that there may have been a battle the day before. Here's where it gets really weird for me.

A couple months ago I remembered some sort of battle. I saw me kneeling on the ground in pain. Several warrior type people ran up to me and surrounded me with weapons in their hands, but I was too weak to fight back in any way. I then remember being held prisoner for a short while. After that, I didn't remember any more picture-type memories relating to those things, but I just remember being put on some sort of trial and then exiled, but I remembered it being in a non-physical sort of thing, if that makes any sense. To put it in simpler terms, I remember something about not incarnating for a very long time.

So, after reading Melari's post I pretty much realized how many connections there seemed to be between myself and everyone else. I just hope I'm not crazy and trying to make things fit together when they don't, but in all honesty, I feel as though everything makes sense here. It's as if other explanations for my memories and feelings (like being an Otherkin elf, dragon, etc.) kind of made sense, but I felt as though I had the puzzle pieces and they fit, but they all formed different pictures (if that makes any sense whatsoever).

Well, I guess that turned into more of a "why I'm here" type thing rather than a proper introduction. Like I said, this is my first time on a forum. I'm not very social anyways, so if I suddenly seem to disappear for a while and then suddenly start posting again then it's probably because I've gone through another self-doubting, introverted sort of stage. I get incredibly nervous about just saying the wrong thing sometimes. Anyways, I'm excited to be here, and I hope I can not only find answers to some of my own questions, but also help others answer theirs!

Ha ha! Hello, Taliel! When I first had that memory about you and made that thread, I honestly had thought that I'd NEVER be meeting you in this life. Boy, was -I- wrong, and boy oh boy am I glad that I DID make that thread! But trust me when I say that when I saw that YOU were the forum's newest member, I literally took a double take! xD

I honestly can't help but wonder what that battle was about and what you might have done that resulted in that trial and—ultimately—in your Fall. From that memory, I get the sense that the trial was unjust and unfair and that you were innocent of whatever crime(s) you were charged with.

In any case, welcome to the forum! Enjoy your stay! In my experience, everyone is quite nice and helpful. ^^

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! You guys have made me so much less nervous about being on my first forum and all! And Melari, I can't wait to see if the two of us remember more about each other and how we knew each other.

Right now, it feels to me like you were a good friend to myself and Shuzari, but that you were somewhat closer to Shuzari, which is why he was so saddened by your sentence long ago. We were both pretty saddened, but it certainly affected Shuzari more.

I would like to see if we can remember more about each other as well. =)
