A memory... Empty
PostSubject: A memory...   A memory... EmptyTue Dec 27, 2011 2:24 am

I've been remembering something new lately, in dreams, and I struggled with whether or not to post but instinct tells me that not only is this a true memory but that someone will remember having assisted me.

You have to understand something about me however, I have a hard time understanding "what" I am. I identify best with the Shadow, though I know I have Sidhe in my bloodline. My grandmother (moved here from Ireland when she was a girl) taught me of their ways (though my parents hated her for it lol ) and always told me that I was decended from the Tuatha clan. It was always my understanding that I come from the Sidhe but am perhaps a soul reborn. It realize as I write this that perhaps the Tuatha were guarding my soul. I identify very well with the Nephilim.

Now, the memory I feel compelled to share:
I am in a large stone chapel/church. The room is crowded, a priest is at the lectern in a panic, praying for our deliverance. Outdoors we are surrounded on all sides but fire, soldiers, and unimaginably horrible creatures. I recall that I am in a pew near the front, dressed in a red velvet gown, and feeling quite silly in it. I have the distinct recollection that I am supposed to be simply one of them, unseen, unnoticed, utterly normal. I am furious that they are not doing anything other than pray and I refuse to continue my charde. Stalking to the front of the church I turn (startling the hell out of the congregation - I do suppose it seemed rather unladylike). I recall thinking damn it all I didn't care what anybody thought I wasnt going to let a bunch of silly humans that I'd grown rather fond of get slaughtered just to keep my identity secret. I yell out "will you sit here and die or will you fight!?" no one says anything. I stride forward saying "The gods help those who help themselves" and pull a flaming sword from the air, my feet beginning to lift from the floor, my body wracked with pain as light burst through my eyes and mouth, hitting the floor still walking now much more comfortable in my leathers and getting quite a lot of shocked looks from the congregation. I recall people whispering to each other "wings." I reach the doors and throw them open looking to the angry faces outside I walk forward sword in hand ready for a fight as four members of shadow light on the ground. One says to me "never one to turn down a fight" another refers to me in a laughing tone "stubborn as always" and together we five wipe out the enemies.
I know that these shadow came to fight by my side as brothers, knowing we would be punished, that I would be punished for showing myself.

To those four, thank you for standing by my side.

We all know where Nephylim began but no one knows what they became.

I think that we can all agree that not all the children of angels were wiped out.

I have be own strong belief that nephylim are the ancestors of the beings that we term vampires (which are nothing at all like the myths have created)

As I understand it no one knows where the Tuatha de Danan came from. Is it possible that they, too are desencent from nephylim. Perhaps the union of nephylim and Sidhe?

That is a very strong memory and whilst it's not one that rings any bells with me, I'm grateful for you sharing it with us all.

As Ish has said, not all of the Nephylim were wiped out, some did survive although I have no idea what happened to them. I also know, on a very deep and instinctual level, that the Tuatha had links to Shadow, although perhaps Ashtart might have more knowledge about this.

Thanks for the share, Terra. Like Az says, I'm grateful for the share but don't have any bells ringing as of yet, myself. Let's see what everyone else has to say.

What did these unimaginably horrible creatures look like? It might help to place what and when these were...

Also, if it was in a church, it was probably long after my time, myself... I did have some human lives following the ancient times but none, up to the present, Sad involved anything supernatural since that was kind of blocked off for me, save for one life I remember being chased down and murdered by vampires in about the 1800s...

Welcome to the forum, btw Smile

Church might be the wrong word, more like a chapel or sanctuary in a stronghold or castle? Not sure... As for the creatures, crouching, taloned hands, a deathly pallor to their skin that was almost green, but surely the green of death. Bulging eyes, with no color at all to the iris. Nearly all black with barely a bit of white to the edges. Incredible speed and able to jump very high.

hmm... it's strange but for some reason i can picture it very clearly, especially the red gown part; for some reason i keep picturing a veil or something over your head with it.

it's an odd feeling, almost like i'm familiar with it, but with no definite ringing of any particular bells, as others have said. sort of like an in between being involved and disconnected...?

again, i'm making no sense, lol.

Its amazing that you said that... in the dream I am wearing a ridiculous hat with quite a bit of gauzy material covering my face, not to mention feathers on top... Rolling Eyes
I just remember that I wasn't supposed to reveal who or what I was. Clearly I don't take orders very well lol.

Besides the scary ugly death creatures, what did the army look like? Were they just human men? Were they sent by other Shadow?

I can't say I remember it.. I don't know... But that last part, from when you stood up, took your sword and took charge, to when the four Shadow came down and helped you (this part especially) really struck something deep inside me.

And by the way, you look much better in leathers. Those silly dresses just don't suit you. Wink

I have to agree about the leathers.

There were two shadow in particular who looked godsdamned awesome in leathers. Very different but *sigh. In fact, and I duck my head waiting for the missiles on this one. I think that Taz looked better then Sem in his leathers. *phew, now there's a picture.

Well, as for trees I don't recall. Clearly not my main focus! As for the soldiers - just men. Nothing really stands out about them - but one thing - they seemed very organized. And they had breastplates for protection so they must've been a wealthy army to some degree.

Ha - leathers or feathers.
Its not that I am opposed to dresses/being feminine/etc and quite to the contrary, I just recall feeling silly and useless and over the top. Beauty to me is a more simple and quiet thing than velvet dresses that weigh a ton and corsets and ridiculous hats. Beauty can be a quiet moment under the stars, a jewel at my throat, a sparkle in someones eyes. Not pomp and peacockery for the mere sake of it.

*rant* lol. I'm the only person I know that can get on a soapbox about something that doesn't even apply to the age we are living in.

Saw them! ~ Really beautiful bold and pronounced colors! However, I do have a virgin belly button available! Often wondered what I would put there just for tricks! Wishglow would think of something!

For me the Gods and myself chose Kansas!

Why I don't know but they all point and say soon enough! Just have to dodge a few Tornadoes, Rain, Hail and floods, etc., etc., and on and on and on!

I'm just at the Crossroads waiting for ??? to happen or show!

lol!

I feel the same way about the mountains... Sometimes I dream of moving to a big city like New York or Paris to further my artistic pursuits but I feel held to the mountains... and there are so many souls wandering these hills that I am able to help. You wouldn't believe the sheer quantity of wandering dead here... So much loss from the Civil War and also the building of the Southern Railroad through the mountains. *sigh* I feel it shall always be my home. Though that does not keep me from wandering... I travel all over the world 50 weeks of the year.

I was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC for a year after being assigned to Korea for a year! Beautiful Hills/Mountains and countryside! Went to Vietnam from there for 3 months and then transferred to Thailand for a 2 year tour in direct support with Vietnam helping to the end of the war!

I guess whether or not we believe it or not we place ourselves where we are to be the most needed. Some dealing with humans others with spirit or even otherworldly!

When I look at it you are truly blessed with a talent that shines far brightly than others and are in fact a truly an old spirit. Here's looking at you kid!
