Necrolim uniform Empty
PostSubject: Necrolim uniform   Necrolim uniform EmptyTue Dec 18, 2012 8:37 pm

I remember that during times of battle or war, the Necrolim and I had a sort of... uniform, I suppose one could say. It wasn't much of one—it was FAIRLY general—but they, both the Reapers and the Absolute were expected to wear it.

Their clothing had to be dark grey, black, or a mix of the two. White garments were acceptable as long as the majority of the outfit was at least one of the other two acceptable colors. Additionally, the outfit had to be lightweight and incredibly easy to move freely in. No jewelry aside from small (facial) piercings were allowed; other piercings such as navel piercings were allowed to be a bit bigger. Footwear was also completely unallowed.

The above is consistent in both genders, applies to both the Reapers and the Absolute, and was also worn in public (i.e. even during times of peace, etc.). The rest of the uniform will either deviate by gender, time of appropriateness, or the type of Necrol it is worn by.

Male Necrolim were, required after a time, to bring back an enemy's head from battle and cut and carve out the front half of the skull plus the lower jaw to wear as a mask during battles. Females (and there were at least a few) were to do the same, but instead of carving out the skull, they were to grind some of the skull into dust and then make into a sort of face paint. The rest of the skull was to be burned to ashes and soot and those were to be mixed together and and made into face paint as well. During battles, the females were to paint a skull-like design on their faces with the bone paint. If the paint ran out, they had to get another skull and make more.

Unlike the Reapers, the Absolute wore an additional garment which WAS required: a short hooded cloak. This garment was also worn in times of peace as well as times of battle.

Even I followed the dress code. However, I did not wear the cloak, but I did wear the bone face paint. However, I wore it differently. I would paint my eyelids black and then touch it and the surrounding areas up with white to produce a shallow/hollow-eye-socket/skull-like look, and I painted my upper lip black too and painted a short thin line along the edges to make it look a bit extended and would dip down a little bit and then back up, to make it look a bit like some sort of fang on each side of the edges of my mouth next to my upper lip.

And that's the general Necrolim "uniform" lol! As long as it fit the guidelines, it could customized however.

Yeah, the females tended to wear more flowy garments, while the males had a tendency to stick with garments such as baggy pants-like things and the like. I've honestly never been able to remember your entire outfit very well, to be honest. In terms of your outfit, all I really remember is that hooded cloak. ^^"

In any case, I wouldn't doubt that you wore something that flowed, and the dark color of it would make sense as well.

Oh!

Also, I forgot to mention that armored padding or plating was also unallowed because it was either too heavy, made the outfit cumbersome and difficult to move effectively in, or both. Our speed, grace, focus, evasiveness, and even our weapons or enviroment were our protection.
