Rabid bite and
drooling maw,
Twisted claw the blood
must draw,
To moon you howl
as it goes by,
Accept thy change
beneath the sky,
You run and bite
and howl at night,
You fear what you’ll find
at dawns first light,
The man is gone the beast
is here,
Avoid the human for it
will fear,
Your inner beast is
on the prowl,
Keep thy snout
clean and wet,
Maintain thy form
strong and fit,
Avoid the light
avoid it all,
The woods now call
as moon is bright,
Run to them
but do not flee,
Find thy pack
and be free,
Return before the
morning light,
To your home
and to your life,
Accept that change
will come every night,
But only if the moon
is bright,
The beast will come
the wolf is free,
But only if you
let it be,
If pup would see
dawn anew,
Remember well these
lessons few.
