Hello from Canada Empty
PostSubject: Hello from Canada   Hello from Canada EmptySat Apr 03, 2010 6:29 am

Firstly I would like to thank you for allowing me to be a part of your community.

I have been on the road to "finding myself" for over 7 years now. I am still not sure who or what I am, nor my place in this mess known as life.
After many talks with self proclaimed "gurus" I know what I've known all along - I'm screwed...lol
Please stop reading here if your short on time.

A short little history for any who need a laugh or are interested:
I was born in one of the worst blizzards in decades, on Friday the 13th at 10:13 (sounds a bit like the beggining of a horror movie). Since I was little I've had the ability to sense people and spirits through their electrical energy. (Very close to the electric hum you get if you mute your tv and listen closely.)
As I got older mainly in the last 10 years my electrical output has become a real annoyance. My wifes favorite story is; while grocery shopping I got zapped while reaching for a box (cardboard) of toothpaste, she saw the arc and heard the zap, then proceeded to laugh until she was crying.
Aside from that I have also been able to read people (decide whether or not to trust or align myself with) without ever actually meeting the person - my wife absolutely hates that.
I cannot visit the hospital for any length of time without having a total meltdown, yet funeral homes don't bother me. I am mostly nocturnal, and can hear better than either of my dogs most of the time.

Please help with any insight if you can, and thanks for taking the time to read my long winded intro.

Cr8zycelt,

Though I'm a newby here, too, I get to be the first to welcome you! Hopefully you'll find some answers on this forum. I know I have, but the trouble is more questions just seem to pop up! Such is life, I suppose.

I've never actually met anyone who can sense/talk to spirits (or anyone who'll admit to it openly) but I wholeheartedly believe that there are many people who have this ability, and many who keep it hidden. Can you talk to spirits, too, or just sense when they are around? Would you call it clairvoyance, psychic... or something else?

Personally, there have been times in my life when I sense things close by which I would call spirits or angels. But no visual confirmation, unfortunately. However, I swear they've put thoughts in my head, things that I couldn't have known ahead of time. I'm not talking schizophrenic stuff, but specifically telling me what was about to happen before it happened. One particular incident jumps to mind, but anyway... let's just say that was the start of a really trying time in my life. Something or somebody gave me a head's up, and I'll be forever grateful. It taught me to always trust that "voice" in my head, that feeling in my gut. I also tend to think of myself as a good judge of character, but then I like to study people. Probably why I gravitated to all the psych classes in college! I always said I did it to diagnose myself, but hey... I'm still trying to figure that one out.

So, I get the impression you think you are cursed. If I'm off base, please just say I am... Why do you feel you are "screwed"?

As for long-winded intros... I don't think you said enough. Don't be shy or afraid of being judged. The people here are good listeners. Smile

Welcome once again, and take your time getting comfortable. This is truly a safe place, I think. In the short time I've been here these people have impressed me with their honesty and willingness to be open. Like I said, I'm a pretty good judge of character. Very Happy

Cheers!

BTW, Braveheart is one of my husband's favorite movies. His family on his mom's side hailed from Scotland generations back, and he'd have made a good Highlander. We're hoping to take a trip there soon. But wasn't the guy in your pic Irish...?

Love the pic and the name! Very Happy

Greetings cr8zycelt and welcome to the forum.

It seems that you have been travelling down a path that most of us have walked... a long walk that only brings vague answers and tired feet, and only after long periods of time can we piece bits together and begin to make sense of them.

As for being screwed, again, welcome to the forum!! bounce

On a serious note, I think that whilst who and what we are and what we feel, think, see, hear and understand seems to be a curse at worst, a pain in the arse at best, ultimately there isn't a great deal we can do about it other than try to understand what its all about and what its all for. As one also born on the 13th (but not a friday) I have travelled this path long now and in many ways wouldn't have it any other way.

The abilities you have could be a sign of your growing awareness and perhaps a sign of your kinness..... if I can make that word up. You've been growing spiritually and physically with your abilities around a similar length of time....... seems to be a correlation there perhaps. Do you have any feelings towards or affinity with any specific kin type, such as Fallen, Shadow, Vamp, Were etc etc?

Welcome cr8zycelt! I think you'll find a lot of the same here, you're in good company. For a lot of us our past life or future knowledge is what brings us together, but we tend to talk about our abilities in some of the other parts of the forum like "Body and Soul" and "Members Only." You'll find some good info there, especially when the archiving process is complete.

Welcome again

Welcome Cr8zycelt as one celt to another... and trust me I am just as crazy and just as screwed.

BTW did you realise that William Wallace was actually Welsh? He was sent to Scotland to live with his uncle when his parents died.

Anyway... I share my home with spirits. They are human, animal and neither. I have a prehistoric cave bear who is my son's protector and comes with his tooth which was given to him by his godmother.

There is also Shadowcat, whose name speaks for itself. She's a family pet.

There are four knights, one strange man in a felt hat who regularly speaks to my son, and some others who pop in now and again.

And then there are the fairies. They hide things if you don't keep them happy. My daughter kept saying she didn't believe them. When she left home and moved her bed there was a neat pile of all sorts of precious things from many years.

So yeah, there are people out here who see spirits, speak to them and live with them on a daily basis. It's no big deal. It's completely normal for us.

Indeed. I'm perpetually questioning whether I'm lucky, or pathetic, that my most loyal, helpful, and reliable friends speak spirit-to-spirit with me, and we've never physically met. Kidding... I don't think I'm pathetic, but it's irritating how many flakes I know corporeally. Wink

Welcome! I like the woad face, and loved your comment about gurus. I've had similar problems, and basically no longer trust anyone who offers to teach me. Exchanging information is one thing, but there's so much room for ego in matters which cannot be "proven." Share as much or little as you like: even if we don't have experience or knowledge of what you're talking about, this is the most genuinely open-minded, supportive bunch I've come across.

That's pretty amazing about the toothpaste. I'll bet you're marvelous in arcades. lol!

Dear Cr8zycelt,

Welcome to the few the proud and the ugly<---well, maybe not that ugly!!!

Believe me quoting for myself, most of the stuff you have mentioned.... seems to be mostly much a common affair around here so, you shouldn't be left out in the woods so to speak!

But you most certainly will always be among friends here cause all the mods and Az and Ish are and always will be there for you!
<---Even us... and you can't beat that with a stick now can you?
