| This image is perhaps THE VERY FIRST experience I've had as Otherkin, one that occured sometime before my Awakening.
One night, a few years ago, I was trying to fall asleep. Several images flashed through my mind's eye, and none - save one - remained; the one that remained in my memory was the last one.
I saw an angel Falling, and then I saw other angels gathered where this one angel Fell and reaching down to him in a desperate and distraught yet vain attempt to save him. It was like the angel's Fall had been a thing of severe injustice and like that one angel was... a friend or, as some might - and HAVE - put it, like a brother...
I've been wondering every so often who the angel I saw Falling was. It was only recently - last night when I rediscovered the location of my Keeper's sigil - that I drew the shocking conclusion that the angel who's Fall I witnessed at a distance was that of the Morning Star himself... At least I think so...
It was shocking because after reading a bit on the forum, along with piecing the memory together, I finally realized that the Morning Star ISN'T this "evil" or "chaotic" thing that is out to get anyone! I was originally raised Christian/Catholic, and OF COURSE, a major part of that being the teaching of the Morning Star as this malicious being who Fell and goes against all that is good and righteous and all that jazz. And I'm ashamed to admit that even after my Awakening, I still believed that he was a Chaotic being...
But now, I know that to be completely untrue. He is not at all what I once thought he was. Now, I don't know why the Morning Star Fell, or if I do, I just don't remember. But regardless, I just KNOW that it was an injustice more than anything that resulted in his Fall...

| You're right, the Morning Star was never evil.......... just a proud being as were...are.... all Shadow. And his Fall was a great injustice, as was all that happened around that time which ultimately led to the next great Fall, that of the Grigori.

| I'll second what Az said. Many loved him and were torn apart by that Fall. It was a severe injustice with an effect that ripples through to the present. As the circle turns, we can only hope that things can be made right again, eventually, that a balance can be made and injustices rectified and answered for. However, what is in the past cannot be undone, and those wounds will always remain on the hearts of those that call him brother and friend. | |
