Greetings!

Greetings, Hello, Good Day, and whatever other greeting terms there are...I may very well begin this in an awkward fashion, so I apologize for any droning on, or choppy writing.

I'm a 22 (23 in June) year old, gender-fluid individual. I was born into a female body, but how I feel gender-wise varies, and most of the time, I proclaim myself as "genderless". I'm Christian, but also pansexual, and very liberal. I'm very interested in otherkin, prehistory, the supernatural, therianthropy, and the like. I'm a spiritual person, who does energy work, and gives the occasional reading in their spare time. I'm not in college at the moment, though I was at one point, and I may return once my social fear leaves, or rather gets more tolerable... (I was treated very badly throughout school in general, even college.) I'm a singer, songwriter, writer, and sometimes I sketch a drawing or so, but I am by no means professional yet in any of these regards.

As for the less...mundane, if you'd call it that, I'm a nature spirit, specifically a tree spirit. However, I do not have any particular name other than that for myself, though some might call me a kodama or a waldgeist. I tend to identify less with the term, "dryad", since dryads seem to me to be more "physical" beings if you look at the Greek mythology behind them.

Even though I'm a tree spirit, I'm not one to consider myself "fae", exactly. I think that fae is a term that's currently very overused, especially in the Neo-Pagan community, and is not always the appropriate term for those of us who are simply just nature spirits, and consider ourselves just that. Call tree spirits what you like, though, it's really just personal preference.

My name is Capsha, or Haniel, I'm an archangel.
I see we have a few things in common. I used to be Christian until I got annoyed at all the misconceptions and the church people, so I converted to a type of unitarianism. Now I'm a fully-fledged Christian Universal Unitarianist. I'm also pansexual but right now I'm engaged to a man. We're planning for a 2014 wedding. I write songs and I sing, I'm in a band. I identify for sure with the idea of being genderless and I think society as a whole have far too many 'boxes', it's great you recognise that.

I have never met a tree spirit and am very pleased to meet you. Please feel free to participate or not in any way you please. We have few rules, the most important being respect. We absolutely demand that members respect each other. That means you can challenge and disagree all you like but it must be done with a basic respect for the right of every individual to believe what they wish to believe and be what they feel they are.

I hope you enjoy your time here in our on-line home........ we're a mixed bunch of Kin and humans, so everyone is welcome here to share, laugh, discuss, learn, evaluate and re-evaluate.

We have few rules here, the most important being one of respect and understanding..... not everyone may agree with your views, as you may not agree with the views of all members, but we all accept this and often question and discuss, but everyone is entitled to their own opinions. However, as a tree spirit I am sure that you will have a great deal more patience that some of us, me included, as I've always been quick to act and slowly to think!!!

Not many people realize that there is a difference between nature spirits and fae. In my recollection at least, having spent many years in Sidhe/Faery/The Grey Lands/Insert Name (LOL) there is a huge difference.

Azaz'el: I used to actually have much less patience than I do now. As a teenager, I was very impatient, and now, though impatient with certain things, I am told I am sometimes too patient with people.


Ashtart: I am glad there are those who agree with me. I do consider myself similar to fae in some sense, down to the mischievousness and all, but I'm still more of a "spirit" than a "faerie".

My Guardian tree is Hawthorn for we were shape shifters long ago and protected the children of earth. I for one was a creator/geneticist many many moons ago ! I offer you water and a protected place in our forum plus a wee bit of chocolate on the side!
