We've hit that time of year again, when the forum become a little quieter as everyone focuses on the 'real' world and enjoys the seasonal festivities, and stops thinking such deep thoughts for a while.
So, whatever you are doing this year, where ever you may be or who ever you may be with, remember that it costs nothing to smile, say thank you, and just hold out the hand of friendship towards those around you.... as the saying goes, you just never know when you might be entertaining angels.
I thought I would share a new version of my favourite Christmas Carol with you all, sung by Annie Lennox. I have always loved her voice, and she does this song justice, especially with such a visual video and an amazing green Father Christmas at the end of it. Enjoy.
Merry Christmas to you all. Stay safe and I shall look forward to catching up with all the news in the very near future,

Somehow the Modern version of the past feels so much more comfortable now although back then we didn't find find it as comfortable and safe.

Happy Holidays
That was a very nice song XD. I like the percussion and it sounded like one of my favorite medieval instruments in there too... I forget what it's called...... the hurdy-gurdy or something like that o_O? Anyway, lovely

that tune is very nice, Az, the woman has some talent! and i agree with dream, that awesome drum is one of my favorite medieval musical instruments. as a side note, i have always wanted to learn this song, as it has a somewhat haunting quality to it, i think... but that could just be my weird mind going off.
anyway, a Merry Christmas Eve's tidings to you all! and a Merry Christmas Day to you all tomorrow!

Thanks for sharing. There's something about certain carols that always struck me as very deep, almost spooky. This one, and Carol of the Bells, are two prime examples, especially with that video. I love sepia tones! Annie Lennox has always been one of those magical performers, and I think she really captured the strange timelessness of midwinter here.
Merry Christmas to you all!
