It's nothing special. It just came to me as I was thinking.
I am the darkness
From out the darkness came the light
And oh how she shined so beautifully bright
Next came fire and burning flames, with a temper so fierce
Then shimmering water, the only thing that could truly pierce...
Flames temper and keep him cool
Next came air
Looking so beautiful, strong yet fair
Earth came after
Both filled the voids with laughter
Time evolved from the dark
Death joined, who struck fear in anyone's heart
Each understood who they where\ are
Each knew how they had travelled so far
Each a loving force, a being in their own right
Each given life from the loving Dark and loving Light
Guiding, helping and caring for souls of those who did die
Dark guiding them to new lives in a form of a simple butterfly
Yet nothing stays that way forever, each took a form
Except for Dark, his being left somewhat torn
Watching through his lights eyes
Watching how their creations began to plot hate and despise
Seeing how things built so tall easily fell
He couldn't be there to reveal what was going to happen, to tell
Staying in silence and dark
He watched as it broke his heart
Damaged and shattered he left his home
He travelled but always felt so alone
Plagued by what he saw in his dreams
Hearing the shouts, the children's screams
He was no longer whole; a former fraction of what he once was
Yet he always felt he was the real cause..
Of what occurred those days
Even though his memory left in a haze
He always feels the pain
Left like a child crying in the rain
Holding his broken self together
Wondering if he'll be like this forever
The broken hearted
Dark
