| After accepting that memory of the War, other memories from happier times have been able to begin flowing back. As Ari'el I had long white or whitish blonde hair that went past my shoulders. I think I usually wore it loose. I had a slender build, and although I was male, my facial features were slightly Fae or effeminate. I remember wearing a big, light blue cloak, that sometimes seemed to be an excess of cloth. I was very confident in a strong, yet quiet and relaxed way. I had my serious side and could be deep and caring. But I also loved to laugh and play. I often had this little smile on my face, like I was up to something or knew something that no one else did. I think I may have been slightly cat-like in some of my mannerisms. I think I worked with plants and animals... Mainly of the farm variety. What do you remember? | |

| I don't know if I ever met you because as far as I can remember there were only a couple of Shadow I ever saw who had fair hair. | |

| I'm not sure if I ever met you either. I don't remember you (yet). But that's not saying much because there are people who I KNOW that I know, but don't have any clear recollections of. I'm also not sure if I mingled with people much. | |

| Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm getting the feeling that hair color and rank were somehow related. | |

| LOL - ahem..Ari'el ... yes I do remember you Good sense of humor, goofy smile that did make one wonder what you were thinking, confident, kind and baby faced...almost like the little cherubs you see in a painting lol. Slow to anger but once pissed off you let whoever pushed your buttons have it. Jeez were we all hotheads???? Don't think I was...was I??? Anyway sorry... you prefered nature to mingling with others most of the time. | |

| Baby faced? Lol. Maybe I was. I'm still like that. Very slow to anger, but not as hotheaded anymore. I also still often prefer the company of nature and animals over being with people. | |

| The only thing I can distinctly remember is you asking my advice about something. I don't even remember what it was, but was very pleased you valued my opinion that way. You seemed, in a sense, to be the original Earth Angel, and struck me as very self-sufficient. You were willing to help others, but rarely asked anyone for anything. | |

| Of course. I had, and still do, a lot of respect for you What do you mean by Earth Angel? Heh I still have those qualities: happy to help, but have a hard time asking for anything. | |

| : : As was said, you generally preferred nature and solitude to crowds. I think it was more than that though... my memory puts you in sort of a stewardship role. If Az was the alchemist, you were the gardener, helping plants and animals to flourish. That respect is mutual. | |

| I think you're right. I do remember, vaguely, helping with (overseeing?) the plants in the gardens and the farm animals. Today my interests lie more with the wild ones, but I love them all. | |

| Actually, I was referring both to wild and tamed animals. The way I'm seeing it, even the most skittish and shy would let you touch them, and follow you around. | |

| *big grin* I can definitely see that too. I think maybe my "job" was more the tamed ones and showing people how to take care of them? Maybe? | |

| Ari'el...
I can see him with whitish blond hair, yea, sort of thin... er ... "svelt" with high cheekbones
I think I may have better memories of your pre-Shadow self than of Ari'el... don't think I liked him much. Or maybe we just never got to know each other, but he generally seemed sort of ... hmmmm stuckup to me. I don't remember the cloak.
Your pre-Shadow self was lovely, very inspiring and whole

| Ashtart, I'm glad you remember my pre-shadow self I feel like I may remember you as my pre-Shadow self, but not so much as Ari'el...if that makes sense. At this point it's mainly a feeling, no solid memories. Though I think I knew your goddess self, and maybe not the Fae self. Heh. I can see how Ari'el may be seen as stuck up. I think he kept to himself a lot, or hung out with just a few close peers. It was an interesting experience to be Shadow. | |
