| It's funny... That movie came out when I was in high school, years and years before I had any conscious inkling of angelic heritage, or the idea they can become human. Something about it completely captivated me at the time, through the title, and poster, and a few brief descriptions. Its soundtrack practically lived in my CD player (introducing me to Jimi Hendrix) and though I was practically frothing at the mouth to watch it, I never did until tonight. I wish I had before, but it meant more knowing what I do today.
Have any of you ever seen it? I may just be maudlin right now, but it struck very deep chords; especially in what was said about free will, and feeling. | |

| You know, thats kind of odd. I was actually considering to watch that movie on netflix earlier tonight, but I ended up watching the two Donnie Darko movies instead.. It's still in my netflix instant watch que. I shall endeavor to watch it tomorrow. | |

| Heh, welcome to the nuthouse. That's the kind of funky little coincidence I was talking about.
Thanks for letting me know Donnie Darko has a sequel. I own the director's cut, but never heard of S. Darko before. Glad my dad gave me access to his account, even though I can only play the streams. I pulled a double feature tonight too, which I almost never do, but there was a Marilyn Monroe flick I'd never seen before...

| Thanks again for mentioning S. Darko. Wow. I'm probably going to have to watch that one several dozen times as well to make sense of it, other than the references to the first.
It's been a weird, wonderful day, and that was part of it.

| I remember watching City of Angels when it was first released and smiling (and crying) to myself in the knowledge that someone was linking in and that the time was right for people to remember. Where have all the years gone since then!!

| I know! It's cool you saw it then, with that knowledge. I think the biggest reason I didn't was an odd, unfounded feeling I had, that it would have some kind of profound impact on me. People told me it was good, but just another romantic drama, and I didn't trust those feelings at all then. It was quite something to remember where I was then, in comparison to now. What an enormous relief it would have been to my high school self! | |
