Sounds like sun is now on the way to slowly meet its destiny.

Sun is getting bigger and bigger as every star in the solar system. When young it is small without force but it is growing with the age. Because of the burning of Helium, sun will be getting bigger but the surface is cooling down.
The oceans will evaporate and hydrogen will care for a climatic change. It is going to become cooler and there will be more glacial spaces on our earth.

Lastly the energy production of the sun will stop completely. The wrapping of the sun falls on the still hot core and there will be an explosion where sun will end to be a "white dwarf".
