The Blood Red Battle Empty
PostSubject: The Blood Red Battle   The Blood Red Battle EmptySat Mar 31, 2012 1:54 pm

Only a few years after I returned Home something happened or changed that I wasn't aware of. A lot of soliders returned to the 'city' and everyone was wondering why they were back. The archangels wouldn't say anything when they were asked and people were becoming a lot more worried. Around a week after the soldiers returned a message went out from Michael that all angels were to be given basic training in weapons, battle stratagies and combat. The training (or, mine, at least) was three weeks long but it was a really intense three weeks.

Michael then told us that there was going to be a battle, bigger than ever before, and that every angel's imput would be vital. We were all expected to fight. Some demanded to stay and be used for healing or teaching others but only a select few were allowed to do this. What made this battle so special, however, was the fact that the sky was a horrible blood red colour. We were fighting against a lot of different creatures and not just other angels. We were in some sort of large field in a valley and in the distance there was a huge, dark forest. After this battle I was awarded an arch title but I can't remember (yet) why I was given it.

Does anyone else remember anything similar?

Do you get the feeling that this battle was the one that led to the Fall of the Grigori and other Shadow?

I'm not terribly sure but it certainly felt different to the other battles that I'd been around. It felt a lot more sinister. I can't recall any of the details about the battle yet but hopefully I'll find out some more information to share.

That sounds powerful, Cap. I too wonder what the battle was or who (what?) it was against. Whether it was a "just" battle or an "unjust" one...

I have memories of many battles. None of them are pleasant memories. All of them are "large" in my mind, memories that I can't escape or leave behind. Perhaps it's the toll of all the lives sacrificed to make war instead of finding peace. Perhaps it's the suffering of fighting. Thus I can see why many of you would have wanted to stay as healers or teachers, instead of being made to shed blood.

Yeah, the battles aren't something that I'd want to remember. In a way I'm glad that I can't remember much of it.

I'm not sure why, but this, with the red skies and everything, makes me feel ill. :-/

This area where our paths begin to diverge again, where our individual or collective goals have us going in at least two different directions. From what I can tell, the Fallen get a sense of unease about this, while fae and djinn are having the reverse reaction. I'm still trying to figure out if this is a future event or if the unease stems from the past experiences where that same set of circumstances occurred.
