One cannot overlook their perpetual strength Their massive frame offset by wings of fantastic length Loyal by nature, protective on demand They guard and defend our precious seas and land
Ancient creatures full of knowledge and wisdom To speak of them as divine is strictly forbidden Because of weak soulless men they must remain hidden
But soon there will come a day when these beasts of old will rise again - For they live in the souls of brave noble men
So I have given fair warning of what is to come Pity will not be felt for those who dare spill the mighty Dragon's blood

| Woot!
I've gotten messages that few mountains, most notably Mt. Rainier in Washington state, are going to "release the dragons" soon. This poem made that make more sense to me, somehow. | |
