Bright Red/White Light

I think I'm putting this in the right place...
I've read about how when we hear the sudden ringing in our ear/ears that it means we're trying to receive a message, whether we consciously are able to or not. Just now, I had something pretty extraordinary happen to me. I'm lying on my bed filling out applications. Above me and to the right, a bright light shone on me. It pretty much felt like someone had turned a very bright, smaller flood light on right up above me. It blinded my right eye, and I looked up and it was gone. It was very real. I played with the curtains, but it's rather overcast and nothing could mimick what I saw. As far as the color?? I can't even describe it, honestly. I guess...a faint red with white around the edges? That sounds close, but it doesn't even begin to describe it. The light was turned on and the second I looked it was gone.

Has this ever happened to anyone?

Yes .... but you might not like my explanation since it may or may not pertain to interdimensionals!

i have heard many tales of lights and orbs making appearances, though in my own personal experience, the only thing that i've encountered that might be considered similar is the presence of a psychic vampire.

Have you come up with any explanation as of yet? Would definitely be interested in hearing what you have come up with so far.

As a matter of fact, something similar has happened. The color was different though. I saw a cobalt blue fiery like light but it took over my inner eye rather than my physical eye. I didn't get the feeling of a psychic vampire, but the energy to say the least was like having my own personal heat wave. It rather...dizzying. I wish I had an answer for you, but I'm trying to make heads or tails of this.

That's interesting. I've been having that happen a lot last month, loud noises and music not inclusive. Perhaps something was trying to message you? Whether the answer, I do hope you find it.

In my humble opinion I do believe and still believe that it is someone or something trying to get your attention!  I've suffered over the years from constant ringing in my ears http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/ringing-in-the-ears-tinnitus-topic-overview which would explain some of the symptoms but not so in every case especially in my situation or yours. Over the years I've worked around jets basically through the tower as a Senior NCOIC of tower operations and on ground preparations!  Which would lead one to believe that I'm just going deeefffff! (Eh.... would did you say!!!!)
